New Appointments
Please join us in congratulating Niki Neese for becoming Safe Systems’ VP of Account Management. We are excited about her helping the Account Management team leverage our services to better assist our customers. Niki will continue to keep her accounts as well as guide the Account Management team.

Safe Systems is proud to announce that Tom Hinkel has taken the role of Director of Compliance for Safe Systems. Tom will finish transitioning roles within the next few months. In his new role, Tom will work closely with everyone in Safe Systems, ensuring that compliance to federal rules and regulations, as well as best practices, is forefront in everything Safe Systems does.

We are happy to announce that David Brooks has taken on the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Tennessee region. We are excited by the opportunity to bring someone into the Sales Team with the caliber of David as well as his understanding of our services.

Last but not least, please join us in congratulating EJ Owens for becoming Safe Systems’ newest Account Manager. EJ has been transitioning from the Engineering Department to Account Management over the past couple of weeks. We are very excited to bring EJ’s technical knowledge to the Account Management team.

New Employees
We are proud to welcome back Mark Clemens as an Account Manager. Mark was with Safe Systems for many years, most recently as the head of Project Management but left us to pursue other opportunities. We are excited to bring back someone with the knowledge of our services and customer base such as Mark.

You may have talked to or seen a few new Engineers visit your institution recently. We were very happy to bring back Jeremy Kliewer in November. Casey Adams and Eddie Wagner were also brought on to help out with support.

Finally, Safe Systems is very excited to have brought on Sean Rousey as our internal Developer. Sean will enable us to continue to tailor our support services to the ever changing mandates dictated by regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

CPEs
Safe Systems is now certified by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) to award CPE credits for training classes and webinars! Please let us know if you would like a CPE certificate for training you attend.

Users Group Meetings
Safe Systems has held four users group meetings since our first meeting last December – we even had to add a second Alpharetta meeting! Everyone that attended our meetings contributed and gained a lot. We have already enacted several changes, such as switching ticket email notifications to when an engineer begins work on the ticket, based off feedback gathered. Expect us to make more changes in the future!

Don’t worry if you were unable to attend our meetings this go-around, we will hold them again. And remember, we are always willing to hear feedback, whether via our users group meetings or email.

An announcement regarding a users group meeting in Montgomery, Alabama in middle to late March will be coming out soon!

Finally, we would like to thank both Morris State Bank in Dublin, Georgia and NewDominion Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina for hosting two of our meetings. Both of the facilities were wonderful!

Risk & Security Class
New in 2009 is Safe Systems’ third Information Security class – Risk and Security. Pulling information from the entire FFIEC IT Handbook, this two-day class will examine and discuss risk as it relates to information security and aims to provide financial institution employees with an understanding of how to identify, measure, and control risk. We’ll give you real-world examples of how to perform Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis and much more. The class is meant for all financial institution employees that deal with risk, including Network Administrators and Information Security Officers (ISOs).
