New Services
Safe Systems is proud to announce the following new services:
SafeSysMail, our Premium Hosted Exchange Service, eliminates the burden of running Microsoft Exchange, MDaemon, or any other internal email system, while maximizing productivity toward revenue driving initiatives. With SafeSysMail, you can eliminate the operational headaches and minimize the costs associated with the implementations, management and maintenance of your email system. SafeSysMail is a fully automated and secure solution, offering the peace of mind and confidence that your institution's email will be protected and available at all times. For more info, please contact your Account Manager.
SafeCapture, our premium Remote Deposit Capture monitoring service, can provide a powerful risk management tool by securely monitoring and reporting on the compliance-related aspects of your non-institution owned workstations. The information provided in the SafeCapture reports will assist your institution in taking critical steps toward proper identification, assessment, and mitigation of Remote Deposit Capture systems' risk, effectively guarding your client information and protecting your reputation. This solution gives your financial institution the ability to monitor your Remote Deposit Capture system for the appropriate controls to satisfy FFIEC guidelines. For more info, please contact your Account Manager.
Podcast Service: Safe Systems has implemented a new podcast series for financial institutions. Our first podcast will be on Pandemic Planning and we will release a podcast biweekly. The first podcast release is now available in the iTunes Store and on our homepage. Subscribing to the podcast will ensure that you and your financial institution are up-to-date on the latest technology trends as well as to ensure that your team understands what is required to maintain appropriate network and security measures for your institution. For more info, please contact your Account Manager.
New Appointments
Please join us in congratulating Jamie Davis for becoming Safe Systems' Education and Product Manager. Jamie will continue to head the Education Department and has been given the new responsibility of monitoring the status of our new products until they are released to market in an effort to improve communications between departments along with communicating with our customers on status, training, and success of each service.
Safe Systems is proud to announce that Stephanie Foerst has taken the new role of Marketing Coordinator for Safe Systems. In her new role, Stephanie will work closely with the new Marketing/Communications Manager, Salina Wuttke, as well as assist the Account Managers and our Sales department in ensuring we continue to grow our business toward a national footprint.
Last but not least, please join us in congratulating Tom Hinkel for becoming Director of Compliance for Safe Systems. In his new role beginning in June, Tom will work closely with everyone in Safe Systems, ensuring that compliance to federal rules and regulations, as well as best practices, is forefront in everything Safe Systems does.
New Employees
Safe Systems is very excited to have brought on Salina Wuttke as our new Marketing/Communications Manager. Salina's position will play a key role in the development of Safe Systems' comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns through indirect channels, trade shows, PR and online marketing communications to achieve increased revenue and a national footprint.
CPEs
Safe Systems is now certified by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) to award CPE credits for training classes and webinars! Please let us know if you would like a CPE certificate for training you attend.
SAS 70
Safe Systems is proud to announce that we are currently undergoing our SAS 70 Type I Certification. SAS 70 stands for Statement on Auditing Standards and is a third party audit assessment, report, and certification. Most importantly, it is a testament to our best processes and procedures for security and the effectiveness of our customer-related controls. We will receive our official certification in July.
Users Group Meetings
Safe Systems has held four users group meetings since our first meeting last December, including our "first annual" users group meeting in Montgomery, Alabama. Everyone that attended our meetings contributed and gained a lot. We have already enacted several changes, such as switching ticket email notifications to when an engineer begins work on the ticket, based off feedback gathered. Expect us to make more changes in the future!
Don't worry if you were unable to attend our meetings this go-around, we will hold them again. And remember, we are always willing to hear feedback, whether via our users group meetings or email.
Risk & Security Class
New in 2009 is Safe Systems' third Information Security class - Risk and Security. Pulling information from the entire FFIEC IT Handbook, this two-day class will examine and discuss risk as it relates to information security and aims to provide financial institution employees with an understanding of how to identify, measure, and control risk. We'll give you real-world examples of how to perform Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis and much more. The class is meant for all financial institution employees that deal with risk, including Network Administrators and Information Security Officers (ISOs).
This new class will be offered this July in Charleston, SC and again in September and November in Alpharetta, GA.
Charleston Training Classes
Safe Systems' Education Department will be headed to Charleston, South Carolina for the first time this July. Our three Information Security classes will be taught during the week of July 19. To register for these classes, please visit our registration page.
