Jun 11, 2009—Using AVG

As many of you know, AVG is now integrated with NetComply. This is a new feature we are proud to be able to offer our customers. As with every new product, there are a lot of questions about how it works and how to use it effectively. This article will discuss two common questions: scheduling scans and how threats are handled with AVG.

At the time of setup, your machines' scheduled scans will be configured to our best practice which currently consists of servers scanning at night, on a weekly basis, and desktops scanning during the day, once a week. If your financial institution leaves your desktops on at night, you may be able to increase efficiency by rescheduling your desktops to scan at night as well. To change your scanning schedule, go to the Security tab and then click on "Schedule Scan" on the left-hand side, you will see your scheduling options at the top.
